| no partners | | I had not been hiking since December 20th, so a little walk in the desert was overdue. Kept things close to home by starting at the Rich Genser Starr Pass Trailhead near the resort. Hiked parts of Starr Pass, Rock Wren, and Yetman Trails, before heading back to the parking lot along the road by the Clearwell Reservoir. This was just the leg stretcher I needed. 
The whole area is loaded with old roads and trails (some fairly new). More signs are needed at the numerous intersections to make things less confusing. Otherwise, no complaints as there is plenty of scenic country to explore. The area is popular with mountain bikers as well as hikers, though most of the time I suspect it isn't too crowded. |
