Finally found some good snow! Durango Nordic Center had been closed for a couple weeks due to a lack of snow, but reopened last Wednesday after a storm. The trails area situated at 10,000ft and usually get a deep snowpack. This winter is not looking good for the Lower Colorado River Basin.

Anyway, Durango Nordic Center is everything you would want in a cross-country ski facility: unpretentious, cheap, run by volunteers, and groomed trails.

If you like nordic skiing and have not yet had the chance, I definitely recommend visiting the DNC.
