I like this alternate way up Sunrise Peak! More challenging and less crowded!
The trailhead only allows about 5 cars, but it's rarely a problem.
Having hiked on the main trail to the peak before, I wanted to try something different. It's fun!
You follow the wash out of the neighborhood before connecting to the main Sunrise trail coming from Lost Dog.
There are a few rough spots to climb, but not too bad. You clamber over the boulders in the wash. And pass under a couple bridges with neat designs on the walls. I say if you want a little something different, give this trail a try!
