After reading lots of different posts on getting to the trailhead we rolled the dice and went for it. My Santa Fe made it down the sandy wash perfectly. We headed up the trail on this Sunday morning not another soul insight. The trail was clear and well kept, we could see others had been on it recently. There was evidence if sheep not far in front of us along the route, but we never saw them. This was definitely a strenuous hike and climb to summit but well worth it. The final climb glittered like a wall Of Swarovski Crystals! Of course we located the sign in box and left our signatures before making our way back down. Part way down we encountered a lovely Canadian couple and paused to chat a few minutes. They were staying locally until mid June. Fabulous day!!!
