Our first stop was the quaint but scenic Lady Face Falls. The falls are only a short detour off the main trail and require a little scrambling to get some pictures, but they are generally pretty easy to reach. The next stop was Bridal Veil Falls, which are intended to be viewed from the trail. The view is from afar, but the beauty and size of this scenic waterfall is still apparent. After a half hearted attempt to take the use trail up to the falls, we turned around and returned to the trailhead the way we came. This portion of the Stanley Lake Trail is very well maintained and easy. It resembles a dirt side walk than a traditional single track trail and even has some wooden walkway sections across some muddy areas. This would be a perfect hike for a family, or someone looking for something easy with a lot of bang for their buck. |
