Just south of Canmore Alberta the hike to Old Goat Glacier is a lightly used trail compared to other trails in the area. The elevation gain mid- way through the hike may deter some. We met four souls going up and maybe a dozen coming down. The glacier is receding however you can still pick out the toe and hear the water running under the ice.
