| no partners | | | Wanting to catch a good display of the Aurora we traveled to Narrow Hills Provincial Park 60 miles N.E. of Prince Albert Saskatchewan. Dark sky and no moon. Show started about 9:30 and lasted for hours. Now digital cameras pick up different colors than your eyes and most people display photos in greens with some reds when the conditions are right, but the actual colors are much more subdued, so I have included some untouched and most re-done to show what I think we were looking at. High ISO"s as the display is moving across the sky and longer shutter speeds caused them to be blurry. I have taken photos of the aurora near our home in Moose Jaw but nothing like the show in the north. |
