| partners | | | Eleven mile out and back to a glacial lake surrounded by peaks and glaciers.With the trail-head 27 miles west of Radium British Columbia on the "Horse thief" forest service road, we were surprised how popular this hike is. Four groups totaling twelve people were on the trail on a Monday. Starting at 4700 ft. the trail is only open mid June till freeze-up as they remove one of the bridges necessary to cross "Hell Roaring Creek". The lake is at 7100 Ft. and a lot of the elevation is in the last 2.5 miles so it's a bit of a grind. |
