| no partners | | For my Friday morning hike, I did a combo of the Hog Heaven Loop plus the Lost Wall Loop. Towards the end, I added in Feldspar and returned on Marcus Landslide to extend the distance somewhat.
Monsoon rains have left yellow grass over much of the terrain. Despite being familiar with this route, I had to pause and look ahead for cairns several times in order to figure out where to go next. I also encountered some erosion at various points along the way, particularly on my descent of the Lost Wall Loop which made things a bit more interesting.
I saw a few hikers and even mountain bikers while I was on Tom's Thumb Trail. I didn't see anyone on the climber's access trails for either the Hog Heaven or Lost Wall sections. |
