I'd been in this area twice before but hadn't come anywhere near a thorough exploration so now with lower temps and plenty of rain over the last 4 months I felt it was worth a return trip. Besides, it would be something new for Tracey.

I encountered deer in both previous trips when it was dry, so expecting a 'wet' Tucker Tank we got started early and headed directly to it in hopes of catching a glimpse of deer at the tank. But no such luck. In fact we would only see three cows and absolutely no wild life.

The area was much 'greener' and thicker than in June so we had a bit more vegetation to contend with, but that simply meant scanning farther ahead to prevent back-tracking.

All the miles were 'new' to Tracey but less than half covered new ground for me, which still leaves plenty of area to explore, especially nearer to/down to Pinal Creek, so we will be back for more.
