Beautiful trail. Starts out meandering gently through the forest and then gradually climbs to Pansy Lake. The whole lake was covered in a thin layer of ice. The trail itself was snow free except for a couple patches of needle ice and some very small patches of thin snow in the shade up by the lookout tower. Beautiful views from the top, well worth the effort. Really wasn't expecting much from this hike, but had a good time- definitely want to head back and explore some of the other trials in the area. |
