Anyway, the ruins were cool!
Then we went on our main adventure. We drove past the ruin to were the road leaves the drainage. Looking at the route we thought we’d take a shortcut and found ourselves almost cliffed out. We used a tall guy move to hoist Karl and myself up. Then I made a ladder out of webbing for Kathy and Scott. We then hiked up an old Jeep trail to the top of the ridge. Finally we descended into our canyon! It was amazing. Conglomerate rock slot! We had to deal with some brush at first but then we were in the narrows. Towards the beginning was some breakdown that we climbed through - very cave like! Then a 20 ft rappel!
Slowandsteady showed us what she’s really made of!
Fun day! |
