| no partners | | About two months ago I had an enjoyable walk in a canyon near Holbrook where I found good petroglyphs. I looked at a map and noticed a couple other canyons in the general vicinity and decided to check them out and maybe I'd find some more.
It worked out pretty well: no problems with locked gates on the dirt road approaches and the canyon walking was pretty nice. I didn't find much of interest in the first canyon but the second canyon had a few surprises including some decent rock art. That's the most fun: finding stuff when there's no expectation that you will.
