Ran into an instagram influencer out in the wilderness and headed out into a couple of canyons that looked promising. The litter was deep and they provided some impressive cover over otherwise unseen deep pools in the creek. After a couple of brief mishaps it became easier to spot the signs and we avoided the many chillingly deep camo traps. As it turned out the best views today were from above the canyons, rather than the bottom of them. In a different season, the opposite might be true.
