| no partners | | Three dads took our three fifth graders on a 21 mile horse ride from First Water TH to Charlebois (and the petroglyphs!) by taking Lost Dutchman to Bull Pass to Lost Dutchman and then returning on the Lost Dutchman until we added a side trip over Black Mesa to Hackberry Spring - making a long figure 8 route through the best of the Superstitions.
The trip was awesome and we were all excited to see so much rugged terrain. 21 miles and 8 hours in the saddle is a long day for a 10-year old, but the kids were in good spirits all day. |
