| partners | | I joined Wally for a little snowy adventure on Geronimo Head. I don’t really have any cold gear but Todd’s snowshoe outings always look like fun. Just doing this 5 plus miles in my “snow” trail runners was a workout. Of course not knowing where rocks and cacti are add to the challenge. That being said I still had a blast! We were the first ones in the lot with no cars at Tortilla Flats at all. Zoo when we left. The views of snow covered Four Peaks with a layer of low clouds was so cool! The climb up in the snow was different but still fun. Always cool to look down on Battleship. The ridge line covered in snow from this vantage point was pretty sweet. Really enjoyed this one. Road at Tortilla was open with a few inches of water flow crossing the road. The 88 had a line of traffic backed up from Lost Dutchman State Park all the way to the roundabout! People at every place they could pull over with cameras out. . Thanks for the hike and lunch Wally. Like Haz, you rock! |
