With all the snow of course we had to get the snowshoes out. The hard part was finding a place to park since there was so much snow and every pull out and parking area was still buried. As I drove by That Brewery in Pine one of the workers was just finishing plowing the parking lot. I asked and he very nicely offered to let us park in their lot while we snowshoed. We walked down to the Pine Trailhead turnoff and then put on the snowshoes. The snow seemed extra heavy and wet but we managed taking turns clearing the trail at the front. We did a small loop going up the AZT and back the Highline trail with break at the AZT and Highline junction. I flattened the snow for a nice spot to sit and enjoyed a beverage. After the break we continued on back to the trailhead on what turned out of be a really pleasant sunny day of snowshoeing!
