| no partners | | Instead of staying in my sick bed with my blankie, my kitty, humidifier and other placebo bronchitis treatments close at hand I ventured out to my sure fire flower places. I mean how bad could it be? Near Winkelman the road grader had done his or her best to berm and hide the little dirt road to poppy paradise but I knew where it was and was able to flop the Jeep over it without high centering, then its 4 low to the nose dive bottom of the wash.
I felt pretty bad but walked about enjoying the absolute joy of massive displays of all sorts of flowers, the poppies were fading it seemed but still a lot of nice ones. The plants seemed huge, probably the rain allowed them to grow larger, taller than what I had seen. I wasn't up to all the crawling, squatting, etc I usually do but of course took a lot of photos and just frigging enjoyed the sun and the scenery.
Next up was a walk on mine property which has a nice flower spread too. Again not up to crawling up and down the hills but it was so pretty and I was glad to be there.
Once home stayed in bed the next two days and wanted to get out again pretty badly but I am not as bomb proof as I thought when it comes to mind over matter that only goes so far. Sux, as the flowers wait for no one. |
