Nice hike some shade and clouds but it looked like no rain in the offing. Warm low and nice high up. Near the top a couple of hawks decided I must look like a cradle robber and screeched and dive bombed me with abandon. After the first couple of close "whoosh" I ignored them. Nice views from the summit, and really most of the trail, although weird light with the sort of overcast then full on blasting sunlight. Lots of switchbacks but it makes a nice grade. I was going to car camp but didn't feel like seeking out shade with the seeming lack of serious clouds I just came home to the AC. I hope the monsoon shows up soon.
