| no partners | | Roads are closed along every highway entrance to this general area and even though it was a zoo along the outskirts this past weekend I figured I’d give it a shot and begin a long walk.
Truly couldn’t ask for a better spring day of temperatures and conditions with birds chirping, an abundance of water and minimal mud.
Solitude and peace galore, saw fresh signs of bulls literally everywhere but the only animal sighting of the day was a “giant” coues deer ;).
Finally broke the ice for the year with a well earned brownie and most importantly enjoyed a solid day with the pups out in the wilderness.
Still want to continue down the “trail” at the west end proceeding down to the seldom traveled confluence of two epic canyons that are currently gushing with snowmelt water that can be heard from high above.
That’s best left for an overnighter or just a solid day trip out and back heading upstream after the Fossil Springs trail drop in which I soon may do if anyone is wanting to join. |
