| no partners | | Embarked on a mission to locate some “Beaver Bulls”.
Started at a chilly 7am and began the cross country walk towards my target area.
On the way as I was expecting I started to see pottery sherds and then surprisingly came across 4 metate imprints on large boulders atop a high point in between two canyons which just so happened to be close to the area I found interesting on satellite imagery prior to the trip.
Soon made my way to game tanks along the way and spots of interest before having a breakfast break at Roundup Basin Cabin.
From there I followed the Bell Trail for awhile along with a lot of gridding back and forth heading west twoards Trail Tank managing to bump one little raghorn who was still packing but other than that no dice.
Was really hoping to buy @The_Eagle a six pack but maybe I’ll get lucky some other time out here.
Still a beautiful morning hiking in new country with the pups along with inspiring some other trips in the area, lots of stuff to see out here. |
