| no partners | | | Quick trip to Madison Falls and a couple of miles in the Elwha Valley along the river. The road was washed out so the only access now is by foot or bicycle. There are plans to replace the road, but it's going to be a real project. Visiting Olympic Hot Springs in the interim is probably great since the day hike is now about 20 miles out and back. But you can ride a bike on the road for about 15 of those miles, which would be my recommendation! Anyway, scenic area. I wish I had more time to explore it. And I'd be happy if they just got rid of the road altogether. But that's just me. |
