I had never been here before and thought it would be a nice day trip on a long weekend in the White Mountains.

Somebody posted a driving route on HAZ that should just be deleted because it attempts to cross the boundary at a locked gate. The only open crossing on the east side is at Reservation Lake.

Bring a sense of adventure because nothing is the same on the ground as it on any map. So, good luck!

The access to the falls is steep and loose, but the view from below is worth the effort. Apparently there's a beaver living down there, so maybe one day the falls will flow into a beautiful pool!? I didn't see any PI in the canyon, but there was plenty along the slopes above the falls. Just watch your step.

No bears for us today either, unfortunately.
