| no partners | | On my departure day- 6/18 drive out on the Rim Road FR300 from a very enjoyable 6nt/7day vehicle camping/hiking trip on our Mogollon Rim, camping at a different Camp Grasshopper location at 7435ft elevation, I decided to stop by my recommended Vehicle Campsite #4 location only a short distance off of FR300 down FR398.
This Campsite #4 sustained a controlled wildfire burn (The Bear Fire) in June'17 [ photoset ] and I wanted to see what a difference two years makes in recovery. Two years did make a positive difference!
This vehicle campsite is my recommended Autumn camp location for the last week of Sept- first week of Oct to hike and view awesome Maple Colors in the nearby "West Bear Canyon". |
