| partners | | This was our third day in this area and the second full day off-trail planned exploration hike of a seven day car camp trip. This day hike also departed from our convenient "Camp Grasshopper- Redman Mesa" location which meant no additional TH Driving.
We had two objectives planned for this loop hike:
1.. Explore the South end of Redman Mesa to a previously selected viewpoint area which would provide some awesome near and distant views South, East, and West of this very remote, rugged, and scenic Sierra Ancha Mtns and distance Salome Wilderness areas.
2.. Loop around this first above noted viewpoints area North-Northeast then East to an interesting upper cliffs and bench area above Turkey Creek Canyon to explore at the cliffs base for possible ancient habitation.
3.. On our route East across the southern part of Redman Mesa we discovered an unplanned third objective [ photo ] that would be later confirmed by Oregon_Hiker on his 4/17 day hike.
A very enjoyable day exploring this amAZing area eventhough we did not locate any ancient habitation.
