| no partners | | Had done this one before , the last time by walking to it from near the Waverley train station , my son had not done this one so while touring Edinburgh we decided to add in this short hike. In fact this time we parked in the Holyrood Park lot so we could tour the palace first and then hike up to Arthur’s Seat. We did get a light rain on the way down but as it was a relatively good weather day for Scotland it was crowded. Though short it can be a good workout if you try to go at a fast pace and it does reward with great views of Edinburgh . This time I even chose the correct way to go and again noticed the ice cream truck in the parking lot is still doing good business. Still no restrooms or portable toilets, surprising for such a large park, closest are the ones by the palace. Later we walked the Royal Mile and found an excellent restaurant, Makars Gourmet Mash Bar on north Bank St. |
