| no partners | | This was a literal drive-up to the Mississippi high point atop Woodall Mountain. The drive up is about 1 mile on a well-graded unpaved road that any vehicle could drive on.
This is the 'bloodiest" state highpoint, as there was a brutal battle near here in 1862 in the Civil WarWar Between the States. It is said that 1/3 of the combatants were killed in the battle.
At the summit, there are 3 communications towers and lots of trees, so there are no views at all.
Woodall Mountain is only 806' in elevation, making it the 4th lowest state highpoint(only Florida, Louisiana, and Delaware are lower).
