Went chasing snow up Finger Rock and ended up just going all the way to Kimball. It was very nice at the start, somewhere around 45 deg, but turned cold within the first hour. My temp sensor showed a low of 32.6, but in general, I was seeing 35ish for the bulk of the trip. The snow level started at about 5,500 ft, just prior to the Linda Vista turn off. From there, to the top, and back, I was kicking myself for not having rain gear. Seems the thaw was just ahead of me as I climbed the canyon, causing a slurpee storm to dump from the trees. This ill-timed adventure left me soaking wet and numb pretty early in the game, but I figured that if I'm already numb, I might as well stay that way to the peak.
