Roy and Niel invited me on this one. I could never turn down a ride to the Madera TH. We got rolling around 09:00. Chilly then warm, then chilly, then warm the whole trip. The summit was perfect though, with full sun and a very slight breeze. Oh, and no bugs. There's usually some issue up top, but not today. Saw 8 humans, and about that many coues deer (most of them babies). We also heard quite a few turkeys yakking back and forth, and one of the humans claimed to have seen a coati just outside the parking lot earlier in the day.

As I always say, any day on the mountain is a great day, and it was.
