| no partners | | Turkey Hills and Pueblo on Turkey Day how ever so fitting to make rooom for a meal by parading around this neat little area.
The ruins are are very interesting as the location just seems defenseless in every way possible as it is truly just a flat spot among the open pines.
I did come across a couple other possible ruin sites on small lava rock hilltops as there were some leftover rock lines, visible old pits and a high concentration of pottery sherds.
Hiked up to the northern hilltop which boasted phenomenal views of Flagstaff, Doney Park, Mt. Elden and “The Peaks” which were blanketed under the clouds of a brewing snowstorm.
Between being great Mule Deer country and the many leftover signs of the ancients as usual I could find myself putting in some miles out here given the next opportunity. |
