| no partners | | Originally headed out to some of the awesome canyons that come to life with winter weather southeast of the Round Valley area but with sloppy wet clay roads and short time I opted to explore the foothills instead.
Almost immediately spotted some petroglyphs on some rocks at the base of a hill and continued to follow them up all along the entire hillside.
There was no real “showstopper site” but the sheer abundance of them throughout the slope was truly impressive as a never even made it to all of them because I just wanted to continue hiking.
Coues deer and elk mingle with cattle in this awesome little area scattered with remnants of the ancient civilizations as sherds and flakes were just as common.
With saturated grounds from snowmelt and constant precipitation water can be found in nearly any low spot which certainly has the nearby canyons ripping and roaring with water. |
