| no partners | | With snowmelt conditions at prime and great weather I finally made the venture to a spot I’ve been scouting out for many years now along the borderlands of the Hellsgate Wilderness.
During part of my usual surveying I saw what appeared to be a plausible area for ruins and upon arrival I wasn’t seeing much until coming across a truly impressive and unexpected petroglyph site.
The “ruins” were meant to be rather a quick stop rather than a destination as my intent was for canyons and falling water but the surprise was well worth the change of plans.
I hiked out further and peered down into the normally dry jagged desert canyons lined with saguaros roaring with water and it was hard not to go down to see the show but that will be a whole other trip of it’s own in the near future... |
