| no partners | | Solid day of walking out in the sacred land.
For the most part in this general area the flats are fairly easy when it comes to off trail traveling besides the uneven malapai rock or occasional thickets but it’s hard not to feel the immensity of the vast amount of quiet seldom traveled land making for an always humbling experience.
Cattle, coyotes and a swollen neck coues buck in the rut were the animal encounters for the day but there was plenty of clear sign of many more mammals around.
Came across some unexpected archaic glyphs and ruin remnants in a unusual area quite different then where I figured a “site” would be located.
