I was looking for a new route we havn't done yet, and noticed on my GPS application on the Arizona Topo map, there was an IronWood Loop trail (this followed the non-ridgline part of the ridgeline loop). Instead of going on the ridline, it went more what I thought was east in the valley, Actually it move was along the side of the ridgeline. This "Trail" was actually no trail at all. I has placed over 80 waypoints to make sure I stayed on track, and shortly after hitting the saddle, there was pretty much no trail until we hit the ridgline part of the trail again.

Not much fun, although we did run across a javelina on the trail.

I wouldn't recommend anyone attempt to follow this variation of the hike.
