| no partners | | | A friend of mine flew into Phoenix for a week long visit to Tucson, but before going to Tucson we stopped by the Superstition Mountains for some hiking. The weather wasn't perfect but it was still perfect for hiking. Took a 5 mile round trip hike on the Peralta Trail to Freemont Saddle to view Weavers Needle. The only problem was when we got to the saddle someone had taken the needle it wasn't in site. Oh well we used our imagination. The hike in the clouds gave the trail a kind of eerie feel. I was also hiking up this trail at a much slower pace and therefore saw a lot of rock formations I didn't notice before because of my faster pace. We both finished in good shape just a little bit wet. |
