| partners | | angela invited me to hike a loop in the goldfields with losdosslofolks
sounded fun; hadn't been out there in months, and always nice to meet some new haz members
john decided to come along, too
met up around 0830 and did the loop clockwise
didn't remember much about the route to the mask
john and i might have taken a different one when we did it
as others have mentioned, the side of the arch that had the cactus growing through it has collapsed
still a nice window on the other half
spent some time taking photos, then headed east
nice views of 3269, dome mountain and 3134 along the way
took a break somewhere in there
checked out the various rock formations on blue ridge
john and i tried to find what looked like an arch from above - actually a large alcove
startled an owl in the drainage, and found a grinding hole
worth checking out
finished up and had tibber's beers and root beers at the vehicles
weather was perfect
enjoyed meeting and hiking with greg and cathy, and getting out with angela again (you too, lp)
