This was my 3rd attempt to climb this and I was finally successful. The first two tries I was in the wrong chute. I was able to stumble upon information online which clued me that I needed to veer more to the left in the first third. There were two guys (non-hikers) checking out the foundation and mine shaft near the beginning. A few quick comments back and forth as I was heading up and continuing on.

I breached the first hump of the ascent and decided to stay to the right and head up to what appeared to be a mini saddle. Once there, I wrapped around a touch to the south side, but it looked too cliffy to me, so I retreated the approximately 150 feet or so back down to see what other options were present. As I was heading back down, I was surprised to see another guy further up, coming down. I raised my hand in a wave gesture, but he didn't react, so I am not sure if he saw me or not. I didn't see him again after that (until I was finishing up the descent), so we either somehow missed each other (not much area up there, so not sure how that happened) or he went down a way which I had inspected and deemed improbable.

I investigated the option furthest to the left adjacent to a platform of smoothed rock (cool area) and came upon a chokestone climb. It didn't look too easy, so I opted for the rock directly to the right. One or two steps to cross over with some exposure and not great holds, but it seemed better than the stone. From there I was in the area beneath the summit block. I stayed to the left and, with minor scrambles, I was on the summit.

It is nice that I was able to figure out a route for this. It was not nice that I stepped on those golf sized cactus balls multiple times. They were all over and simply unavoidable. My gps track was all over the place, but this is certainly less than one mile and about 1500 feet of gain. I will definitely be back again soon!
