| no partners | | | This is the longer east approach that meets up with the official trail just below the summit. I parked off Shadow Canyon at around 4230 feet, intersection with Moonshadow Lane. You can cut more than a mile each way if you continue on and park at the start of the climb. The road was starting to get a little sandy though and I baby my little Kia (sometimes... haha). This route is sun exposed pretty much most of the way, which was nice on this cool day. Some areas of the road are quite rocky, but nothing that bad. Very nice views and I was quite pleased with this hike. I didn't see anyone else out there. I will definitely be back again. |
