After hitting Aspen Peak, I went over towards the spire east of the bench. From the base on the west side, I headed down the chute and into the brush, trying to work around to the north side. I then worked up from the north side, but there was a vertical overhang of 30 feet or so. Based upon a visual inspection of the rock, it appears water flows down this. I don't think there is an easy way up the spire.
