| no partners | | Decided to get one last night of camping with a campfire, and headed out to a spot not too far from home. Once set up, a nearby drainage looked compelling for a pre-dinner walk, and it turned out to be a surprise gem.
I got stung by an aggressive bee who would not relent. Later I noticed a couple of separate hives in the canyon and was happy that the one sting didn't trigger either colony to make a more concerted defense. Otherwise it was a pleasant little walk before grilled steaks over the fire. |
