| partners | | Flow was at 105, which is the lowest I've ever attempted. After setting the shuttle, we headed out. The parking lot at the start was full, and the Clear Creek RAP was very crowded. Beasley had a few spots open. We saw a few people on the river, but it was generally a peaceful day. The water was a great temperature, and all the trees have fully leafed out for spring making a great shaded paddle much of the way.
The low water made for a couple of steep drops ... little pour-overs that otherwise would be just a quick moving rapid. While making the trip proved not to be problematic, I do think I'll choose 200cfs as a minimum in the future. |
