Graham trip. / Five o'clock rolled around, and I hurled my tent, sleeping bag, food, etc. into my truck, and made record time up the Swift Trail, arriving at the trailhead for Moonshine just before sunset. A week's worth of heavy rain had saturated the Pinalenos, and the creeks and vegetation had responded well. I made it to the overlook during the last throes of sunset, and enjoyed the almost vertigo inducing view once again. I hiked back in the dark, while thoughts of wild beasts kept me singing out loud. I camped out near Grandview Peak that night, basking in the cool air, and watching Monsterquest on my portable dvd player. The next morning I was up early, and off to the Grant Creek area... |
