| no partners | | I decided to take advantage of a nice day and go hike on one of my favorite Sedona trails: the Hangover Trail.
We started from the Huckaby TH and took the Munds Wagon Trail from the TH. We continued on the Munds Wagon Trail until we got to Merry Go Round Rock, and of course we climbed up on top of the rock. That was my first trip to this rock, and it was a fun, fairly easy climb. After getting back down off of the rock, we continued on to the Munds Wagon TH.
Then we took the Munds Wagon Trail back to the Cowpies Trail, and took it to the Hangover Trail. Then we took the Hangover Trail up to near Mittens Ridge and took a snack break to enjoy the scenery. After eating, we went to a small cave and went in for a few minutes. Then we continued on around on the Hangover Trail -- this is my favorite section of the trail. It was such a nice day that we decided to climb up to Elephant Arch and the other arches/windows. We spent a fair amount of time there doing some rock climbing and enjoying the awesome views. Then we continued on the Hangover Trail until we got back to the Munds Wagon Trail, and followed the trail back to the TH.
After the hike we stopped off for lunch at Cafe José in Sedona. This was my first time in a sit down restaurant since this virus frenzy started. |
