| no partners | | I decided to drive up and hike on the eastern side of Roosevelt to see if I could get a good look at the fires from across the way. I always enjoy doing the Parker Creek Aztec Peak Loop. But I didn’t get there until 1 o’clock today so I just went up to Workman Creek Road and back down. On the drive in and drive out I was able to capture some good pictures of the fire on the Eastern slope of Four Peaks. I could also see several pockets to the north they were many miles away from four peaks.
As for the hike itself the trail is really overgrown right now and there’s some downed trees along the way. Nothing that you can’t work through but I would advise pants.
I found a few patches of raspberries along the way so I had to indulge. They were delicious. Other than that pretty uneventful and an overall good hike. The smoke Where I was wasn’t very bad although I could smell it. |
