| no partners | | Stopped at the Flight 93 Memorial on our way to Gettysburg. It's really very well done. The walkway and overlook by the Visitor Center line up with the flight path, which also lines up with the wall of names below towards the impact site. There is a very large sandstone boulder at the impact site in a field, several yards from the Memorial Plaza.
We hiked the loop all the way around and back to the Visitor Center. We didn't hike the Trail of Remembrance, since it's out and back and uphill. I was lucky to get the family to hike what we did. Weather wasn't too hot or humid. Glad we stopped to see this. |
