| no partners | | Went out to the White Tanks to hike a few sections of trails I haven't done yet. Kept it to the flat trails with the heat being a factor these days. The weather was actually much better than last Saturday, much less humid. It was actually pretty cool early on with some light cloud cover, but later the heat started to kick in. Went through a lot of water, well over 150 oz.
I started from the end of Goat Camp Trail, then took the Bajada and Mule Deer Trails northbound to the Grey Fox Trail and headed back. Saw some bikers and trail runners early on, but by the time I was done at 11am, most everyone was already gone for the day. The burn area there from a few months ago already looks better. Still no vegetation obviously, but less black and charred. |
