| no partners | | Radmila wanted to get out of the house after being couped up for so long. No one else wanted to make a big trip up north and brave the crowds and weekly wildfires that pop up anywhere. With the weather being cooler for this weekend, I decided to take them over to East Wing Mountain for a quick hike.
the hike up to the summit was pretty steep in spots. I made it up first and waited for them. On our way down the other side, I hiked back to where we left off on the loop and then back to the saddle. we hiked down the south end and then followed a track I downloaded that went off trail over to a dirt road that loops back to the trailhead. That track cuts through an empty private lot in a gated community. We got informed by some residents that we were trespassing, so we headed out as soon as possible to the dirt road and back to the trailhead.
The temperature only seemed really warm on the way up to the summit. Other than that, it was pretty breezy and cool most of the time. Saw a few other hikers, but not too many. |
