we hiked the loop counterclockwise taking the long way up. this was a great choice for a nice moderate climb up, with a fair amount of shade. excellent forest with occasional nice views. had some great cloud cover too.

had lunch on spruce mountain and chatted with the lookout for a bit. saw just a few people all day.

stopped and messed around on the boulders on the way down. Sierra loved that.

we all really enjoyed this one. great day
