Ran up to the forest during the week to escape the heat and a certain virus. This is a nice loop in the pines. We decided to do the loop clockwise, as it makes for a steeper shorter initial climb, and longer moderate way back down. One mistake, we hiked for around 1 mile down the Isabella Trail before we realized it, missing the turn to stay on the loop. It's nice over there, but threw us off track for a while.
