Well, HAZ @outdoor_lover did this same hike on 9/29 and reported back almost no Autumn Colors :( I was planning an 8 day / 7 night camping/hiking trip starting Wed-9/30 from a little further down FR300 and had planned one day to include this hike as one of my primary choices to score prime Big Tooth Maple colors.

So, being the over-the-top planner I am, I delayed my hike here almost a full week to hopefully assure :FG: Oh well, still a beautiful, peaceful, and enjoyable day and location to hike!
